I’m supposed to do a portrait, and you have to go and quote Richard Avedon. One of the most famous portrait photographers ever.

Ever.

Well an Avedon, is not happening. So what options do I have?

The very first portrait that can be dated was found in the Czech Republic. The portrait is of a women, and is carved from a Mammoth tusk! The facial features are unique, which convinces researchers that it is an actual person, instead of a sculpture of a god. They dated it at around 26,000 years old, but I don’t know if that is the age of the mammoth tusk or the age of the actual carving.
