Assignment:

52 card image

Well this one defeated me. I tossed around ideas for days, and did not come up with anything usable. So I joined the onrushing crowd and asked Google how to create a photo. Google of course, directed me to gemini.google.com, which presented me with a simple prompt text entry area. I typed in the weeks instruction: focus on the small intimate details that reveal a deeper emotional connection. I pressed enter and:

Cliche

Cliche

Cliche

This is not what I was wanting. I wanted something with more emotion, so I modified the prompt and added, Dangerous Machines. And…

Ok, so points for no cliche, but I’m lost as to the point of the stack of photographs. I’m guessing that the AI linked the word dangerous to the word photo in the prompt, so in a way it makes sense that the photos are about to be milled to dust, (but the AI did not lock down the photos to the milling table so no dust tonight). However for this blog, I don’t think this provokes the ’emotional connection’, so on to another prompt.

This time I replaced ‘dangerous machines’ with ‘dangerous animals’, and it gets more weird:

Well, we have: Lions and Tigers oh my! And Leopards, and cubs, and snakes, and… Eggs? Hmm. I mean snakes do lay eggs so there is that. But please pray tell me what is the thing in the upper left corner of the image? Now that thing is scary. That got me to thinking, scary is an emotion, so I modified the prompt to generate a scary image and:

The teddy bear is a nice touch, but I’m not sure if the red spot on the teddy’s head means ‘injury’ or a ‘terrible patch’ job. Still, it does kind of work for scary, the ominous android in the aqua background heightens the emotion. Maybe it’s Aquaman? Although Aquaman is a hero not a villain, so probably not.

However I don’t think the image works. I guess my intelligence is not artificial enough to get prompts to work well. Being left to my own devices I came up with a plan:
